We are seeking a talented and motivated Director of English to lead our high-performing secondary academy in Thamesmead. In this role, you will be responsible for curriculum development, staff performance, and student outcomes across Key Stages 3, 4, and Post-16.

Key Responsibilities

Lead curriculum development for English department
Manage and support staff to achieve high performance
Ensure student outcomes are consistently improving
Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities
Implement effective assessment strategies to track student progress
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant undergraduate degree
Proven track record of raising achievement
Strong leadership and team management skills
Experience in curriculum innovation and assessment strategies
Commitment to continuous professional development
