Site Agent - Roads & Highways
Location: Solihull
Type: Permanent or Freelance (CIS considered)

We're working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a programme of highways and infrastructure works in and around Solihull. They're looking to bring in an experienced Site Agent to take ownership of delivery on a live roads project.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to run a job properly - managing teams on site, keeping programmes on track, and dealing with the day-to-day realities of highways work.

The Role

* Oversee the delivery of roads and highways schemes from start to finish

* Manage site teams including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors

* Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification

* Liaise with the client, local authorities, and other stakeholders

* Manage short-term programmes, RAMS, and site documentation

* Monitor progress, resolve issues, and keep things moving

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience as a Site Agent on highways or road schemes

* Strong background in engineering (Site Engineer or similar route)

* Solid experience delivering Section 278 works

* Good understanding of NEC contracts preferred

* Able to lead from the front and make decisions on site

* CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid as a minimum
