Full-Time Position

A welcoming and supportive primary school in South Lancaster is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teacher to join their team immediately to provide long-term sickness cover.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is confident in delivering a high standard of teaching and learning to upper Key Stage 2 pupils. The role is full-time and is expected to continue throughout the current term, with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
Support pupils of varying abilities, including SEN and EAL learners
Maintain positive behaviour management and foster a supportive learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and SLT to ensure pupil progress
Complete ongoing assessments and reports as required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience teaching in Upper KS2, preferably Year 5/6
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A flexible, proactive and committed approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
