About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of a varied portfolio of regeneration projects. These include town centre and industrial development initiatives that contribute to the Council's 'Stronger Economy' priorities and support the Local Plan and Economic Strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to make a tangible impact on the future of the borough. Whilst we encourage time in the office in Grimsby for team collaboration and key meetings, flexible and hybrid working arrangements are supported.

Key Responsibilities

*

Deliver a programme of regeneration projects across the borough.

*

Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including Council staff, consultants, and other stakeholders.

*

Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation and systems.

*

Develop and manage stakeholder and communications plans.

*

Monitor and control project risks, budgets, and timelines.

*

Ensure external funding is managed in line with agreements and assist with financial claims.

*

Lead procurement activities in line with Council procedures.

*

Draft reports and present them to internal and external boards and committees.

*

Support the submission of planning applications and funding bids.

*

Assist with land negotiations and acquisitions.

*

Collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners to resolve project issues.

*

Maintain high standards of project administration.

Key Requirements

*

Experience managing capital regeneration and development projects

*

Experience in local government or similar public sector bodies (desirable)

*

Strong understanding of regeneration and development issues

*

Experience with using project management systems such as PRINCE2

*

Awareness of equality, diversity, and the Council's value framework (Desirable)

*

Excellent project and programme management skills

*

Effective communicator, both written and verbal

*

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate

*

Budget and financial management skills

*

High levels of organisation, motivation, and adaptability

*

IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Qualifications:

*

Relevant degree or professional qualification, or significant experience

*

PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification

Ability to work across various locations as required
