We are recruiting for a Claims Manager – Property (D&F) on behalf of one of the leading insurers in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market. The successful candidate will manage the claims team in all aspects: day to day workload, career progression and manage the D&F and Heavy Industry portfolio.

KeyResponsibilities

• Managing the D&F / Heavy Industry portfolio, as well as own individual complex claims.
• Monitoring the profitability of the accounts in the portfolio.
• Providing catastrophe ultimate figures, catastrophe claims plan compliance and recommending catastrophe claims best practices.
• Collaborating closely with key stakeholders; actuarial team, risk, reinsurance & compliance, complaints and the delegated management team.
• Supporting Head of Property and Casualty Claims, Head of UK Claims and other senior leaders in the implementation of the claims strategy; working collaboratively across the global claims team.

Key Requirements

• A proven track record in a similar Claims Manager role with a high level of technical competency.
• Knowledge of key issues affecting the D&F property, Heavy Industry and Construction claims market.
• Experience with Lloyd’s Claims Lead Arrangements and related claims handling systems.
• Experience of managing and oversight of Coverholder & delegated claims authority holders (“DCAs”).
