Our Client, Rotherham Council, is seeking a Team Manager to join their Children's Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Provide leadership, motivation, and professional supervision to social workers and other MASH staff, ensuring staff are supported to perform their roles effectively.
  • Oversee the screening, analysis, and decision-making process for contacts and referrals received by the MASH, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns.
  • Facilitate the sharing of information between partner agencies (such as police, schools, and health services) to identify risks and assess needs early.
  • Ensure that the MASH operates to high-quality standards, that risk is reduced, and that strengths are built upon to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Drive performance, delegate tasks, and ensure that the team's performance and decision-making are timely and effective.
  • Provide clear advice and guidance on immediate casework issues and participate in discussions to ensure high-quality assessments and analysis are conducted.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
  • Must have minimum of 3 years’ Post Qualifying Experience
