Role: Gas Engineer

Start Date: 01/08/2021

Rate: £37,000 - 40,000 DOE

Location: Rochester, Kent

Hours available: 8 hours a day, normally form 8:00 - 16:30 but will depend on the contract.

Our client delivers high technology cleanroom, laboratory solutions and complex M&E services in a creative environment. They rationalise and develop designs that challenge the traditional way of thinking to deliver a high quality facility in a matter of weeks rather than months.

With nearly 5 million worth of turn over confirmed, the company's projects are rolling in and they are looking to expand rather than settle. Our client is expecting a team of hardworking individuals who are motivated to grow and complete their qualifications to join them in some exciting and interesting projects.

Duties:

Safe operation testing and maintenance of all plant and equipment.
To repair and maintain all of the mechanical assets within the facility.
Provide instructions and guidance on all echincal aspects of plant and equipment.
Work individually or as part of a team to delivery the outcome.
Maintain stocks of critial spares and other stock pertaining to responsibilities.
Planned and reactive maintenance activiites, which include general boiler and plant room maintenance.
Exceptionally skilled in hands-on maintenance and repair of designated boiler and mechanical systems within the limits of their skills and knowledge, and be capable of aniticipatingf he potentialy faults or problems which may occur to avoid any disruption to the building environment.
Dedicated to the completion of company projects even outside the usual working hours.
To provide technical supervision to site staff as required and contribute at all times to a good "facilities team" performance.
Assemble, install, calibrate and commission a wide range of gas and plant equipment.
Maintain formal and informal communications with all parties related to service activities. Requirements:

3 Years experience in commercial and industrial installations
Recognised Commercial Gas Safe qualifications.
TPCP1 & 1A Certified highly desirable
CSCS Card, PASMA, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness, Legionella, Manual handling and First Aid - desirable and will be required in the long term.
Knowledge of heating control systems, control panels.
