About the Company

Our client is a growing specialist contractor delivering grid connection projects across wind, battery storage, solar and private networks. With several major National Grid and DNO-connected schemes due to commence, the business is looking to strengthen its operational team with an experienced Site Manager.

With a head office in Newcastle-under-Lyme and projects based throughout the UK, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-looking company at a pivotal stage of its development.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading site operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality. You will act as the key point of contact on site, coordinating subcontractors, liaising with clients and ensuring all works are carried out in line with programme requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

*

Day-to-day management of site activities on grid connection projects (up to 400kV).

*

Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental and quality standards.

*

Supervising site teams and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.

*

Reporting progress, issues and risks to senior management.

*

Building strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.

About You

We are ideally looking for candidates who have previously been appointed to SR163, although strong Site Managers without this authorisation will also be considered with relevant Transmission & Distrubution experience.

Essential skills and experience:

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager within grid connection or transmission/distribution projects.

*

Strong knowledge of safety standards and site compliance requirements.

*

Excellent organisational and leadership skills.

*

Ability to communicate effectively with clients, engineers and site teams.

*

Flexibility to travel to project sites across the UK.
