This role is all about bringing people together and making games unforgettable. As a Games Host, you’ll be the personality that gets groups excited, explains the rules with clarity and charm, and keeps the energy high throughout. You’ll ensure that every guest feels comfortable, included, and entertained, while also confidently handling the practical side, from troubleshooting small tech issues to coordinating food and drinks for the group.
 
 Your confidence, warmth, and likeability will set the tone for each event. Offensive to no one, charming to all — you’ll make sure every guest leaves with a smile and a story to tell.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

·         Previous experience in hospitality or customer facing roles preferred (e.g. waiter, host, bartender, events staff).

·         Confidence speaking to groups and presenting clearly.

·         Interest in cue sports (pool/snooker) is a plus but not essential.

·         Theatre, performance, or hosting experience is a plus but not essential. 

·         A natural people person — confident, approachable, and universally likeable. 

·         Excellent communicator with strong presentation and hosting skills.

·         Comfortable with technology.

·         Organised and proactive in coordinating food, drinks, and event flow.

·         Adaptable, resilient, and able to read the room.

·         Works well as part of a team, embodying Poolhouse values in every interaction.
