Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager you'll be working in a rapidly growing and award winning SaaS CAFM, Compliance Management Software and Mobile Application Business.

Our enviable clients include large prestigious UK wide organisations including Bupa, Sainsburys, Co-op Group, Tesco, NHS Property Services and numerous large housing associations, councils & NHS Trusts.

We are looking for several candidates that have the attributes, confidence, initiative and desire to work in a dynamic business to business environment.

Due to the expansion of our sales operation we are looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our team.

Job Description:

It is the role of the Business Development Manager to target organisations in the nominated sectors, generate and qualify leads and ultimately winning multi-year subscription customers.

Working to generate leads or following up on the with the marketing team including telephone, system demonstrations, email, social media, exhibitions.

The BDM will report directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing and work closely in a team oriented environment with other sales and pre-sales colleagues.

A sales commission plan is included, car allowance (or company car), laptop, mobile phone allowance comes with this role.

Job Duties

* Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services

* Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation

* Generate leads and cold call prospective customers

* Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone

* Perform system demonstrations using video conferencing (MS Teams)

* Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these

* Produce correctly worded, accurate and timely proposals in line with the company's pricing guidelines

* Prepare correctly worded and accurate tenders, working with the sales team to submit within a timely manner.

* Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them

* Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department

* Obtain details of relevant Compliance contacts from within your customers to pass onto the cloud sales team

* Liaise with the finance team as appropriate

* Seek ways of improving the way the business operates

* Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate

* Keep abreast of trends and changes in the energy sector

* Help to plan sales campaigns

* Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management.

Skills

The candidate will be expected to have an interest in solution selling in a business to business environment and some ability in the following:

Software Demonstration and Presentation Skills

Communication

Qualifications Skills

Negotiation and Closing Interpersonal Skills

Problem solving

Proposal writing

Knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS), health and safety, organisational compliance, CAFM and mobile applications in a B2B environment would be desirable, but not essential as training and mentoring will be given.
