The School and Role

ABC Teachers is recruiting a committed and knowledgeable Religious Studies Supply Teacher for a long-term position at a welcoming secondary school in Saltley. Starting in September 2025, this full-time role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality RS lessons in a supportive and well-resourced environment. Located in the heart of Saltley, this diverse and inclusive secondary school is known for its strong pastoral care, high expectations, and commitment to student progress. The role:

Teach Religious Studies to KS3 and KS4 students

Plan and deliver thought-provoking, inclusive lessons

Join a strong and collaborative Humanities department

Full-time, long-term supply role from September 2025

Possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate

Requirements

The successful Religious Studies Teacher will have;

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies

Experience teaching RS in a UK secondary school setting

Excellent behaviour management and interpersonal skills

Passionate about helping students explore religious, ethical, and philosophical topics

Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
