This role will be suitable for a first time Finance Director or equally an experienced Finance Director looking for a new challenge. Reporting to the Board and Managing Director, The Group Finance Director will be responsible for the financial running and performance of the business. They will be expected to manage external relationships with banks, auditors, legal, insurance etc and they will be playing a key role in informing long term strategy as they position themselves for the future. Day-to-day, the Group Finance Director will be hands on improving the running of the business. They will be part of a strong operational SMT in a complex environment, so they will be commercially talented and a strong people leader.
