Job Title: Assistant Service Manager
Location: Strood, Kent
Salary: Circa £40,000-£50,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm, plus 1 in 5 Saturday mornings

An established commercial vehicle operation is looking for an Assistant Service Manager to join their Strood depot. This role is ideal for a qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician ready to move off the tools into a management-focused position.

Assistant Service Manager Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to workshop staff and customers
Handle customer enquiries, invoice queries, and complaints
Monitor workshop performance, quality checks, MOT stats, and KPIs
Support Health & Safety reviews and supplier approvals
Approve service costs and deputise for the Depot Manager
What We're Looking For:
Experience as a qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and motivate a team
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Knowledge of workshop operations and profit margins
