Job Description

Purpose

The purpose of the Selling Branch Manager (SBM) is to strategically work alongside, in the trenches, while leading and supervising the staffing team. The entire team strives to match talent with opportunities by placing employees in the right jobs every time. The SBM is responsible for connecting with our talent, placing the right people into the right seats, developing meaningful client partnerships to retain and expand existing business and bring in new profitable business.

Essential Functions

  • Determine, with Regional VP, specific branch and individual goals for self and team
  • Oversee operations of the branch, including sales, recruiting, hiring and placement
  • Promote, implement and strive to achieve short and long range revenue goals and objectives aimed at increasing the market share of the branch office by continuously prospecting for new accounts based upon established corporate criteria
  • Negotiate wages and bill rates with clients to ensure maximum profitability
  • Develop and track sales efforts on a weekly basis based upon established goals and objectives
  • Strategically lead daily meetings with the staffing team to ensure clear and concise results in both activities and revenues
  • Conduct quarterly conversations with each team member providing opportunities for each individual to know where they currently are as well as plotting a plan for continued growth through active learning or hands-on coaching
  • Work with the team to identify issues and place on the L10 Issues list to IdS with entire team
  • Meet or exceed individual weekly metric expectations
  • Thoroughly and accurately enter job orders into the system in a timely manner that have a detailed Job Description and Action Plan that allows for no confusion from the team
  • Continually demonstrate, through strategic questioning of clients, the understanding that circumstances and expectations of employees and clients may change. Convey this to the entire team via job order notes.
  • Connect with candidates in a timely manner following the candidates behavioral interview in order to establish relationships, answer questions and relay expectations
  • Ensure the recruitment and placement of qualified temporary employees based upon established corporate criteria and current market conditions and projections
  • Search database to find the best candidates for each job
  • Thoroughly describe job to each candidate to make certain it is the best placement
  • Expand business with current customers by making Prospected Placement calls and client visits according to established metrics
  • Handle phone calls and emails from candidates, employees and clients. If unable to take phone calls or respond to emails immediately, ensure a sense of urgency is executed when responding to these calls/emails
  • Performs all essential functions of being on-call: Being available to respond to on-the-job injuries and incidents, responding to customer calls and employee absences
  • Visit and/or tour potential client job sites
  • Speak to community, professional and business organizations in the local area on behalf of the services offered by Selectemp
  • Research, schedule, perform and document Quarterly Business Reviews according to established metrics
  • Assist employees and clients with timesheet and payroll issues
  • Understand all employment related documents
  • Visually review I-9 Identification provided and complete e-Documents
  • Complete the E-Verify process on candidates as needed
  • Perform drug screens as needed and properly document them in Bullhorn
  • Process criminal background checks and Motor Vehicle Reports as needed and properly document them in Bullhorn
  • Document every transaction in appropriate Bullhorn files linking to candidates, employees, job orders and client contacts as deemed by action
  • Effective and consistent use of Tasks within the Bullhorn platform
  • Effectively utilize google calendars
  • Professionally use email system to communicate internally with co-workers as well as candidates and clients
  • Maintain essential function knowledge of Google Docs and Sheets and use them in a professional manner
  • Assist in daily management of workers compensation claims in conjunction with the Selecemps Claims Manager and insurance carrier. Supervise injured workers and facilitate Early-Return-to-Work Program with clients to reduce claims costs. Strive to achieve expedient medically stationary status on all injured workers
  • Analyze and communicate findings to RVP regard sales prospects
  • Facilitate all other forms of screening and testing required by specific clients
  • Participate in scheduled coaching sessions with the RVP and provide a written or verbal summary following each session to ensure that the RVP is thoroughly aware of knowledge and information gained

Requirements

Competencies

  • Oral communication: Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates comprehension
  • Understanding and acceptance of basic sales processes
  • Planning/organizing: Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans for self and team members as needed
  • Strong computer experience, aptitude and exceptional data-entry skills
  • Strong oral, written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to network outside of normal business hours when opportunities present
  • Ongoing training and development as directed
  • Exceptional attention to details

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required

  • Experience in management
  • 2-5 years of experience in business development
  • Must have a valid ODL, reliable transportation for site visits and proof of insurance

Preferred

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or University, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
