We are recruiting for a skilled and compassionate Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bedchildren's home in Milton Keynes, specialising in supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a unique opportunity to shape a high-quality service from the ground up, ensuring a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment.As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, regulatory compliance, and quality of care within the home. You will play a key role in building a strong staff team, embedding best practices, and maintaining high standards in line withOfsted expectations.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of a 2-bed EBD children's home.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding regulations, and relevant legislation.
  • Oversee care planning and ensure personalised, therapeutic support for each child.
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a motivated care team.
  • Manage staffing rotas, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Liaise with external professionals, including local authorities and families.
  • Prepare for inspections and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Promote continuous improvement and positive outcomes for young people.
Candidate Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Prior experience as a Registered Manager (or strong Deputy ready to step up), ideally in an EBD setting.
  • In-depth understanding of Ofsted standards and children's home regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Calm, resilient, and solution-focused under pressure.
