MRP & Production Support Specialist

We are on the search for an experienced MRP & Production Support Specialist to join our reputable manufacturing company, where you will be responsible for providing admin support for the Materials Resource Planning, Sales and Production department. This is a well-adversed role, therefore, to be suitable you must be able to work well-under pressure at a high level.
Additionally, it is essential that the right candidate holds strong experience within a manufacturing environment, has a great understanding of Sage 200, as well as being able to read complex drawings.
This is a full-time, permanent position - Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:15pm.
Duties included, but not limited to:
· Works Order Allocation: Assigning works orders in the Sage 200 system (NEW status) is a top priority. This process demands close attention to detail due to the non-standard and customized nature of our products.
· Part Number Creation: Generating new part numbers for components, paint, and powder coat in both Sage and TQ2 systems.
· Custom Product Works Order Updates: Collaborating with the design team to populate works orders for custom products. This includes creating new standard and subcontract part numbers in Sage and TQ2 to support both purchasing and factory operations.
· TQ2 MRP System Maintenance: Making updates to the TQ2 MRP system with new or revised part numbers based on engineering change request forms.
· Works and Sales Order Completion: Booking completed works orders from the factory, assigning locations, and finalizing sales orders, including part dispatch.
· Production File Preparation: Printing sales orders for production files, including relevant documentation for custom products (CPs).
· Handling Priority Orders: Managing high-priority and short lead-time orders efficiently.
· Sales Department Coordination: Addressing sales order discrepancies and changes, ensuring the responsible salesperson is informed and the order is quarantined if necessary.
· Despatch Liaison: Communicating part dispatch details or any issues related to sales order completion with the despatch team.
