An established and well respected, medium sized practice based in the Chelsea area of London, synonymous with bespoke and luxury residential projects, is looking to recruit a Project Architect. The majority of their work is London based, prime and super prime residential single dwellings, and they consist of extensions, alterations or refurbishments of existing properties, although the occasional new build project will arise. Project values can range from £1M to £45M (and sometimes larger). Their clients have a high net worth and demand the highest quality of design, both traditional and contemporary. This can include basement extensions and listed buildings or work in conservation areas. The projects are very appealing as they allow you to push design boundaries, working with lavish budgets, producing fantastic bespoke architecture.

The practice requires a Project Architect to take ownership of some of their medium sized projects that would typically have a contract value of £5M upwards, taking these from inception to completion.  This is a client facing role so strong interpersonal skills are essential.  The ideal candidate will be a UK project experienced Architect within the high-end / luxury residential sector although relevant hotels experience will be considered.  They are looking from demonstrable experience of running projects from RIBA Stages 1 to 7.  The practice uses AutoCAD however they also see value in candidates who can produce hand sketches to efficiently communicate ideas, designs or technical solutions.  A strong technical ability is essential.  You will be working on some of London's most stunning, elegant and prestigious bespoke residential dwellings.

For someone who enjoys the prime residential sector, autonomy and working across the entire design and delivery lifecycle of projects, this is a fantastic opportunity.  The practice also has a strong social culture including several architecturally focused away days throughout the year.
