Are you passionate about transforming local food systems and improving community health? Our client is seeking a dynamic Food Programme Manager to spearhead a borough-wide strategy aimed at enhancing food security, access to healthy options, and creating a resilient local food economy.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive Food Systems Strategy.- Align initiatives with council goals on health, climate, and economic development.- Create measurable objectives and an evaluation framework for impact tracking.

Partnership Engagement:

- Build strong relationships with local businesses, health services, and community groups.- Lead inclusive engagement processes to ensure community voices are heard.

Research & Insight:

- analyse food-related data to inform policies.- Map food systems to identify flow and access within the borough.

Programme Delivery:

- Oversee food-related projects like healthier advertising policies and voucher schemes.

Management & Leadership:

- Provide guidance and support to the Public Health Programme Officer.- Ensure budget compliance and value for money.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

- Master's in Public Health or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

- Proven track record in leading multi-agency public health or food system programmes.

Skills:

- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
