CDS Recruitment & Training Limited are working with our client who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, Time-served Maintenance Engineer to join their busy team on a permanent basis. This is a Day Shift Role. The Main purpose of the role is to provide technical expertise in fault diagnosis and rectification across the site in the areas of controls systems, electronics, electrical and mechanical disciplines and to develop the production site skills to provide effective maintenance support to minimise downtime and associated distribution across the 24/7 operation

Overall, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the sites' agreed unplanned engineering downtime target due to engineering related failures. Use of key tools such as:
- Failure analysis - 5 Whys
- Deliver all preventative and reactive maintenance tasks to good safety / engineering / site standards returning equipment to service with the minimum of downtime. Ensuring that the site maintenance system is updated correctly
- Rapid resolution of unplanned downtime issues
- Compliance to Maintenance performance measures
- Ownership of area major breakdowns and monitor breakdown occurrences
- Initiation and implementation of improvement activities / projects
Also responsible for:-
1. Rectification of equipment faults
2. Planning work order completion

You must be a Time served Engineer with a minimum HNC in a relevant Control Systems / Electrical / Mechanical discipline
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline
- In-depth knowledge of controls / electrical / electronic / mechanics with minimum of 5 years' industrial experience, food manufacturing / FMCG experience is preferable.
- Good knowledge of PLC controls systems to include programming, maintenance and fault finding and resolution would be an advantage but our client will consider a Mechanical Biased Maintenance Engineer for this post. (Ideally experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC'S, Device Net and Control Net)
