Staff Nurse – Private Ophthalmic Clinic on Harley Street

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join a specialist ophthalmic team. You’ll support patients through their pre- and post-operative care and assist in Laser Refractive, Cataract, and ICL surgeries, ensuring the highest standard of clinical care. This Staff Nurse role pays £28,000 annually plus corporate benefits.

Staff Nurse Key Responsibilities

• Pre and post-operative ophthalmic testing
• Order, administer and dispensing eye drops
• Education on how to use drops and meds
• Assisting the surgeon in surgery in various procedures
• Ordering of medical supplies
• Stock takes
• Following Care Quality Commission standards
• Correspondence with patients

About You

• Registered Nurse (NMC pin required) – Diploma or Degree in Nursing
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Confident with computers (Word, Excel, email, databases)
• Flexible, proactive, and calm under pressure

Staff Nurse Working Hours

42 hours per week, including a 1-hour lunch break. Shifts vary (07:00–15:30 to 12:00–20:30) with occasional Saturday work on a rota basis (around 1 in 5).
