We are working with a Local Authority who are looking for a Surveyor to join their Disrepair Team, supporting the management of disrepair claims and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, while minimising costs to the organisation.

Surveyor – Disrepair Team

Start: ASAP

Rate: Negotiable

Hybrid Working Arrangement: Site-based / Office as required

Duration: 3-6 Months Initially

Responsibilities:

• Manage disrepair claims within the Housing Repairs Team, including those submitted by solicitors.
• Conduct site visits to assess required works and support claim resolution.
• Prepare detailed Scott Schedules and schedules of works for properties.
• Liaise daily with team members, customers, contractors, and senior management.
• Ensure claims are processed efficiently and within required timeframes.
• Carry out essential administrative duties to support the turnaround of claims.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in repairs and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of repair works within tenanted properties.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to work under pressure.
• Experience within the disrepair sector is desirable but not essential (training can be provided).
