Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri 07:00 - 17:00Duration: 4 Months Minimum (potential for extension) Start Date: ASAPPosition Summary:Working at a live Rail Depots we require Mechanical Modifications Technicians who will be engaged for the implementation of a sanding box modification on the Class Duties could include the following:* Carrying out modifications primarily on the underframes of the vehicles and interior aspects* Renewal of fasteners (washers, nuts and bolts) * Tightening of Threaded fasteners (torque loading) * Carrying out inspections and checks to ensure work completed to correct standard.* Carrying out work recording via both paperwork and computer * Protection of componentsPersonal Profile* Minimum requirements NVQ Level 3 or equivalent award in an Mechanical discipline or similar.* Experience of Mechanical works on Vehicles such as Trains, Aircraft, Marine Vessels, plant, agricultural machinery, Cars, Trucks or Busses.
