About the Role
Reed Middlesbrough is delighted to be working with a prestigious, rapidly growing company in Stockton-on-Tees, who are entering a key phase of development within its finance function. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a changing environment, and wants to be part of a team that is actively improving the way it works. It is a newly created role for the business and an opportunity to work closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director.
Role Responsibilities
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Supporting month-end processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records across a large and varied group structure
- Assisting with the implementation of new policies and procedures
- General finance administration and ad-hoc tasks as required

This role suits someone who is proactive, confident, and not afraid to challenge inaccuracies or ask questions. You should be someone who:
- Uses initiative and doesn’t wait to be told what to do
- Has the confidence to question things when they don’t look right
- Enjoys getting things done and working at pace
- Is keen to grow and develop as the business expands
- Ideally holds an AAT qualification (or is studying towards)
- Knowledge in Xero is preferred
- Property Management/Finance experience is desirable, but not essential
