Job Title: Design Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

We are currently seeking a Design Engineer to join a well-established company based in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and technically minded engineer with lighting design experience to contribute to innovative projects across various sectors.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop lighting products and components from concept through to production.

Create detailed 3D and 2D CAD models and engineering drawings.

Collaborate with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure designs meet performance, aesthetic, and cost requirements.

Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, BoMs, and specifications.

Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Contribute to continuous improvement and product innovation initiatives.

Requirements:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Product Design, Mechanical Design, or Electrical Engineering.

Proven experience in lighting design or similar product development.

Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
