About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias (e.g., 60:40, 70:30, or 80:20 mechanical to electrical) to join our team. This role involves working both on-site at our Darwen factory and providing service support at customer sites across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, service, and repair work on a range of equipment including:

  • Shredders

  • Screeners

  • Conveyors

  • Belts

  • Recycling machinery and equipment

• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs and adjustments.

• Provide a high level of customer service during site visits.

• Work independently or as part of a team depending on the job scope.

Requirements:

• Must be based within 1 hour of site.

• Strong mechanical engineering background is essential.

• Previous experience working on recycling or similar industrial machinery is highly desirable.

• No formal qualifications are required, but hands-on mechanical experience is a must.

• Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland.

Reporting Line:

You will report directly to theSite and Service Manager.
