SEND Teacher - Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teacher to join our vibrant primary school located in Tower Hamlets. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing tailored educational support to children with diverse learning needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised lessons that cater to the specific needs of students with SEND.
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and specialists to develop learning plans that foster students' abilities and goals.
• Monitor and assess the progress of students and adapt learning plans as needed.
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
• Utilise various teaching aids and techniques to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Participate in school meetings and training sessions related to SEND education.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a focus on SEND or a related field.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities.
• Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and primary education curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students with diverse educational backgrounds and abilities.
• Patience, creativity, and dedication to student development and education.
