The ideal candidate will have prior planning experience with a Main Contractor or an Engineering Consultancy, and be confident working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Collaborate closely with the tender team to ensure compliant bid submissions that meet Employer and Tender specifications.

Offer technical planning support to both the Estimating and Construction teams as needed.

Produce Tender, Contract, and Construction stage programmes, including critical path analysis and regular progress tracking.

Develop work package programmes supported by sketches or drawings to illustrate logic and sequencing for internal and client presentations.

Assist Project Managers in tracking progress against the master programme and budget, and in implementing recovery strategies for any deviations.

Monitor and report on-site installation progress where required, ensuring effective communication of any issues.

Help prepare contractor reports as directed by the Project Manager.

Participate in regular project meetings, updating and revising construction programmes based on outcomes, and advising on the impact of any changes.

Attend meetings and liaise directly with the client team when needed.

Requirements:

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Proven experience in a similar planning role within a Main Contracting or Engineering Consultancy environment.

Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera, MS Project, or ASTA PowerProject.

Competent user of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other relevant IT tools.

Experience with 3D modelling or BIM software is advantageous.

Strong knowledge of both tender and contract stage planning in construction projects.

In-depth understanding of the construction sector and relevant regulations.

Ability to perform under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.

Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career with a growing and forward-thinking contractor. In return for your expertise and commitment, they offer a competitive salary, a strong company pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance. You'll be part of a supportive team with genuine opportunities for career development and long-term progression.
