An established and well-regarded Structural Engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Building Structures Design Engineer in their Brentford office.

This opportunity would suit a Chartered or near-Chartered Structural Engineer who is confident managing their own projects and is looking for greater autonomy, client exposure and long term progression.

The Role

You will take responsibility for delivering a wide range of building structures projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical excellence and commercial control.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading structural design on a variety of building projects
• Managing and running your own projects independently
• Direct liaison with clients, architects and external consultants
• Delivering projects to programme and budget
• Internal budget monitoring and cost control
• Mentoring junior engineers and technicians
• Designing in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry

Requirements

• Chartered (CEng MIStructE/MICE) or working towards Chartership
• Strong background in building structures design
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects independently
• Ability to design in multiple materials
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and budget management capability
• Proficiency in relevant structural design software
