The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and a keen understanding of market trends to contribute to our overall success.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure favorable agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide strategic procurement guidance.
  • Analyse market trends and maintain awareness of industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and address any issues to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work towards optimising stock levels while minimising carrying costs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supply chain management.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
