The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James's Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits every year.

We are now looking for a Team Leader to join us on a fixed-term contract from March to October at The Hyde Park Boat House, Serpentine Lido, The Regents Park Boating Lakes and The Greenwich Park Boating Lake, working up to 40 hours per week.

The Role

As a Team Leader, you will be a keyholder and operational supervisor for the boating and swimming venues across our parks.

Championing health and safety, you will provide bather and user supervision at the water-based leisure services in Hyde Park (boating), Greenwich Park (boating), The Regents Park (boating) and The Serpentine Lido (swimming).

You will work under the direction of the Operations Managers, providing operational support in all areas to ensure an exceptional customer experience!

About You

To be considered as a Team Leader, you will need:

  • To be a qualified National Pool Lifeguard and/or Open Water Lifeguard
  • The ability to manage customers and resources to achieve smooth operations and a great customer experience
  • The ability to manage changing and competing priorities, absorb new information rapidly and address issues
  • The ability to work flexible hours
