The Role:
The Department for Education (DfE) ASYE Programme is a one year, employer led induction programme which provides support and assessment to NQSWs working with children and families during their first year of employment as part of a continuing professional development program.
- A tailored yearlong induction in a frontline team
- The support of a dedicated practice educator and a learning buddy
- A tailored learning plan reviewed throughout the year
- An outstanding core curriculum of evidence-based learning and development to enhance skills and practice.
- Bespoke practice workshops with NQSW colleagues across the service
- Monthly ASYE peer support meetings
- A protected and gradually increasing caseload
- Regular reflective supervision
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.

What you’ll need to succeed:
To apply you must have qualified with a Social Work Degree within the last two years and Social Work England registration is essential.
The nature of this role requires travel to rural locations which are not serviced by public transport; therefore, a full clean driving license is essential.
