The Opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious, technically-minded graduate to join a dynamic team as an Internal Technical Engineer (Pre-Sales) within a company specialising in bespoke and standardised lift solutions. This is a pivotal role that sits between engineering and sales, helping to drive new business through technical understanding and excellent communication.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment and has the ambition to develop into an external technical sales role in the near future.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the sales team with technical input on lift specifications, drawings, and product compatibility
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide tailored pre-sales engineering solutions
- Produce detailed technical proposals and documentation
- Liaise with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure smooth transition from proposal to project delivery
- Keep up to date with industry innovations and product developments
- Participate in client calls, meetings, and (eventually) site visits as part of your professional development
- Provide internal training/support as needed to the sales and customer service teams
What We're Looking For
- A graduate with a degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical discipline
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- A proactive, inquisitive mindset with an eagerness to learn and grow
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine interest in transitioning into a customer-facing sales role in the near future
- Good commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Team player who is happy to get involved and take ownership
Desirable (but not essential)
- Knowledge of lift systems or construction/installation sectors
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software
