Week 1 - 8am-2pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday and Tuesday 3pm - 9pm.

Week 2 - 3pm - 9pm Monday - Friday.

Join us as a Support Worker at the Fyffe Centre, where you'll make a meaningful difference by supporting people who have experienced homelessness, or who may be at risk of returning to it, as they work towards maintaining independent accommodation. In this rewarding role, you'll deliver high‑quality, strengths‑based support focused on each individual's goals, aspirations, and overall wellbeing.

By working closely with our customers, you'll help ensure they feel safe, respected, and confident in the support they receive.

About Fyffe Centre…

The Fyffe Centre in Lowestoft is a welcoming service providing 27 single rooms for adults who need a safe place to stay and some additional support as they work towards rebuilding their lives. The team supports residents in a wide range of areas, from boosting confidence and enhancing wellbeing to developing the practical skills needed for independent living.

Conveniently located just a short walk from Lowestoft Train Station and close to local bus routes, the Fyffe Centre benefits from excellent transport links. Its central location gives residents easy access to shops, the seafront, and local community spaces, creating a positive and supportive environment in which to regain independence.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work collaboratively with customers to develop and maintain personalised, outcomes‑focused support plans that reflect their individual goals and aspirations.
  • Support customers to manage risk positively and take appropriate, informed risks to enhance wellbeing, working in partnership with other support agencies to ensure a holistic approach.
  • Contribute to referrals, risk assessments, and day‑to‑day support to help maintain a safe environment for customers, colleagues, and the wider building, in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Actively engage with customers and a range of stakeholders to help ensure the service is responsive, effective, and consistently delivers high‑quality support.
  • Support customers to build connections within the local community, helping them access new networks and opportunities through volunteering, training, and employment.
  • Champion and advocate for customers by developing strong, respectful relationships that recognise and value their lived experience and expertise in their own lives.

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 9-4 / A-C or equivalent)
