Be the heart of our community - help us keep homes safe, warm and well-maintained.
At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), we believe that everyone deserves to feel secure and comfortable in their home. As a Repairs Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in making that happen - ensuring our residents receive a responsive, efficient and caring repairs service every day.
Working Style:
You'll be based in the Borough for 4 days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you're working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you'll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents' lives.
What you'll be doing:
Your role will be hands-on, fast-paced and rewarding. You'll coordinate the full lifecycle of repairs - from raising jobs and scheduling operatives to tracking progress, managing materials, and following up with residents. No two days will be the same.
You'll be the first point of contact for many of our residents, so your ability to communicate clearly and compassionately will make all the difference. You'll be listening to their concerns, diagnosing repairs, resolving queries, and ensuring they feel supported and informed every step of the way.
This is a service-focused role, but also a leadership one. You'll manage a team, delegate tasks effectively, and keep everything running smoothly to meet high standards and tight deadlines.

What you'll bring
You'll come with experience in repairs and maintenance, a clear understanding of what great customer service looks like, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
We're looking for someone who can lead by example - who knows how to manage their time, support their team, and keep things moving when priorities shift. Strong communication skills are a must, both face-to-face and over the phone, along with empathy and a genuine commitment to getting things right for our residents.
You'll bring energy, organisation, and a can-do attitude that helps everyone around you succeed.
