About the company
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM based in Gaydon who are seeking a Lead Engineer Body Structures to join their team on a rolling contract basis working 40 hours per week
Job Description
- The role will mainly focus on but not limited to the development of Body Structures, Subframes, Structural trays and braces, longitudinal's, shock towers, dash and cowls, with associated interface sub-components, working to structures design rules and standards as part of an Agile team with one of the new vehicles.
- As a Lead Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of components on a given platform from concept into production, with platform & project engineer responsibilities.
Skills:
- Body structures design and engineering, both in steel and aluminium, from initial concept through to final production release.
- High experience of component design to deliver performance attributes (durability, stiffness, weight, cost)
- DVP completion in line with programme timing milestones
- FMEA, Standards and Bill of Design support
- GD&T Knowledge
- Deliver Engineering sign off through DVP and CAE reports
Education:
- Degree, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in relevant field
